Summary:

This position has responsibility for reviewing, recording, and maintaining production for a specific number of wells on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily operational review of assigned wells and production equipment
  • Gauge production tanks daily
  • Read gas charts and calculate daily gas production
  • Prepare daily production report
  • Gauge water tanks or pits for water production
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment; ie: change oil, change spark plugs, replace mags, replace bad or leaking hoses, grease units
  • Detect major equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs
  • Regulate flow of oil and/or natural gas from wells to storage tanks or into pipelines by adjusting valves - could occur several times daily due to different locations requiring similar actions
  • Maintain appearance at tank battery locations - cutting weeds, dragging locations, picking up trash

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability
  • Basic math skills


Education and Experience:

  • High school degree or GED
  • Good driving record
  • Oil and Gas experience required


Materials and Equipment directly used:

Will be in a pickup driving from location to location; tools, including gauge lines

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

Outdoor work in all weather conditions. Gauging tanks requires climbing 15' or 20' stock tanks for oil production. Greasing units may require hauling 20' grease hose up ladder. Must be able to climb, crawl, crouch and kneel occasionally. Lifting required frequently up to 80 lbs, with average lifting to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling are also required frequently.

Workover Rig Hand

Job Description 

Reports to:      Workover Rig Operator

Summary:

This position assists the other rig hands and operator in a multitude of functions including: tripping pipe, handling tongs, making connections, cleaning, operate machines and maintaining equipment used on a workover rig.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform services on oil and gas wells as part of a 3-5 person workover rig crew
  • Assist in loading and off-loading pipe and other items from the truck to rig
  • Picking up and laying down tubing
  • Lifts, removes, installs and operates well head pump, jacks and performs other tasks as designated by the rig operator or company official
  • Positions, lifts, attaches, installs and works with matting boards, tubing, rods, casing and associated well equipment, such as rod strippers, polish rods, etc
  • Operates rod wrenches, tongs, elevators and other associated rig tools and equipment
  • Reports safety hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to the rig supervisor
  • Complete required work plans, job safety analysis, observations, and attends safety meetings as required

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Must have basic problem solving and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in team environment
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast-paced and high stress environment

Education and Experience:

  • High school degree or GED
  • Previous experience on workover rig required

Truck Driver

Job Description

Reports to:  Truck Supervisor

Summary:

Truck Driver operates a truck or combination of truck/trailer with a Gross Vehicle Weight

Rating/Gross Combination Weight Rating of 10,001 LB or greater to transport materials, equipment, and/or machinery to and from specified locations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Have an acceptable MVR history based on Kauffman Well Service, Inc.’s (KWS) Commercial Motor Vehicle guidelines. Maintain an acceptable MVR during course of employment.
  • Have the appropriate Commercial Driver License with classifications/endorsements for type of equipment /cargo that will be transported.
  • Capable/knowledgeable of performing FMCSA PRE/POST-Trip Inspections per FMCSA guidelines.
  • Capable/knowledgeable  of  proficiently  operating trucks  or  combinations  of  trucks/trailers  with  multiple gear transmissions and clutch.
  • Capable/knowledgeable in preparing and maintaining Daily Logbooks & Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports per FMCSA
  • Guidelines listed under FMCSR 49 CFR PARTS 395-396.
  • Capable of performing emergency roadside repairs such as:
    • When/where applicable, ability to inspect/adjust brakes with/without supervision,
    • When/where applicable, capable of installing tire chains for inclement weather conditions,
    • Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs & minor wiring repair, and
    • Changing flat or worn tires when/where applicable.
    • General knowledge of applicable FMCSR as outlined in 49 CFR PARTS 382-399.
    • Applicable knowledge of cargo securement procedures for type of cargo being transported and ability to load and unload cargo safely.
    • Ability to lift 10-50 LB frequently and 50-100 LB occasionally.
    • Ability to safely enter/exit cab of truck and different styles of trailers as well as climb stairs.
    • Capable of performing other physical demand [Range of Motion] such as:
      • Bending
      • Balancing
      • Crouching
      • Kneeling
      • Pushing
      • Pulling
      • Reaching
      • Twisting
      • Walking/standing 2-3 hours per day, and

Hot Oil Truck Operator

Job Description

Reports to:  Truck Supervisor

Summary:

A Hot Oil Truck Driver will perform job duties of loading, heating and pumping of fluids at high pressure and temperature, while observing gauges, equipment and safe operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pre and post trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Properly complete paperwork and logs
  • Operate high pressure pump and burner for heating and pumping fluids
  • Observe equipment and gauges
  • Carry hoses and joints of pipe from truck to wellhead or tank
  • Ability to lift 10-50 LB frequently and 50-100 LB occasionally.
  • Ability to safely enter/exit cab of truck and different styles of trailers as well as climb stairs.
  • Capable of performing other physical demand [Range of Motion] such as:
    • Bending
    • Balancing
    • Crouching
    • Kneeling
    • Pushing
